Tidal Wave

TIDAL WAVE
Fight, Flight, Freeze, Fawn?
Tidal Wave is a movement performance exposing the physical traces of trauma.
In this duet, makers Roshanak Morrowatian and Charles Pas share their scars without hesitation. Taken by a tidal wave of survival mechanisms, they search for the limits of their play. What's left after the wave breaks?
This creates a quest in which the unmentionable is made tangible in a sharp, choreographic language, where distress can be a soothing element and where emotion can be found in the grimmest of scenes.
Our traumas are different and beyond our control, but is it possible to see them as a fragile force afterwards? Can my pain also be your pain?
The performance can be seen for the first time on December 8 & 9, 2023 in Theater Bellevue. Read more >
