5,566 km: Stories of Sheroes
5,566 km: Stories of Sheroes is a research project of Roshanak Morrowatian and her mother: teacher Mahnaz Heygharnejadi. Together they dived into the studio asking: what was your dream as a young woman?
Since the death of 22-year-old Jina Mahsa Amini in September 2022, protests have erupted in Iran, the first counter-revolution led by women and queer people. 5,566 km: Stories of Sheroes tells the story of another generation, a generation in exile but with the same dreams of freedom.
During Come Together 2023 in Amsterdam a first work-in-progress of this research will be shared.
